Barracuda Magazine logo

These are some logos I did for my good friend Jeff Fox for his awesome periodical of manliness, Barracuda Magazine. Inked in Illustrator and colored in Photoshop. Enjoy, heathens.

Mental Floss Caption contest

I was asked by the very cool and talented David K. Israel to draw a cartoon for his caption contest on the Mental Floss blog. Check it out!

Drawn in Illustrator, 'natch.

While you're there, also check out some of the cool articles written by David and the other Floss contributors.

Chestacles Ink

I LOVE this drawing of Chestacles by his creator  Jim Smith! Since I've been practicing inking on the Wacom, I thought I'd take a stab at inking this awesome drawing. Mistakes were made, but I'm learning as I go along, and with great drawings like this, it's also fun!

Blog header work-in-progress!

I love Illustrator and Photoshop even more now that I know what I'm doing! For this knowledge, I have to thank the great Sherm Cohen for his awesome inking and coloring tutorials on his just-as-awesome blog, Cartoon Snap! Head on over there and learn and absorb! He's answered questions in his tutorials that I have been pondering for a long time.  Thanks Sherm!!! And thank you, Vincent, for pointing out Sherm's blog! Awesome!

Spongebob inked!

I took a stab at inking one of the awesomely great Vincent Waller's  pencil roughs for practice. Hope Vincent doesn't put a smack down on me next time I see him.

TA-ta-da-da! 1st stage-DONE!!!

For Spumkin to try his hand at coloring:

Here's the finished ink. The line on the bottom is just a reference to where the artwork will be cut off in the final. Yeah, the lettering is a cop-out. For now, I just used a font. Next, I need a background and some color! Huzzah!

Gill-man ink

Mistakes a-plenty, but I still like him. Done with a crappy, dying Sakura Pigma brush pen.
